High heels

We were sitting in Cafe degli Artisti in Citta della Pieve last week when this woman walkd teetered in wearing a pair of shoes which put her feet at virtually 90 degrees to the floor. Mamma Mia! This example is a little less drastic . . .

Just got back from Bratislava where it appears that all female airport staff are forced to wear the highest of high heels . . . if they don’t induce vertigo, they’re not high enough. As a consequence, all these young women clomp around with a peculiar gait, appearing to be riding an invisible space hopper.

Any thoughts?
