Life Sketching

Apples and Tomatoes . . . part 2

Intro:This is one of those tests that ‘pen and paper’ people like to do every now and then -it’s the first time I’ve done it and, tragically,  found it interesting – I must get out more.

Moleskine users out there will know that the paper varies a lot – whereas the watercolour paper is ‘watercolor’ friendly- the sketch book is paper is a lot less so. Whilst preparing for a brief visit to the UK I was wondering what to take….

I’ve been looking at a lot of black and white work recently including a stunning exhibition in Rome of work by Da Vinci and Michelangelo. Also a lovely site by Glasgow based illustrator Wil Freeborn with some gorgeous watercolour and pencil. So No. II is a quick attempt at pen and Ink with Copic multiliners…… all comments welcome!

By Rowland Jones

Jones spends his time writing & performing his songs, writing to the papers, doing illustrations for Zuiderlucht and browsing idly around the net for considerably longer than any adult should . . .

Any thoughts?
