close . . . . . but no cigar . ..

American football and Sicilian culture – – mind you there is rugby team in Manchester called Sale Sharks— Sale is a place by the way – -it sounds like they’re purveyors of large aquatic predators . . .

“I am fascinated by language . . . ” I can read some French, German, and Spanish, and, if hard-pressed, can get along in Spanish. In the US, many products have information in English, French, and Spanish, and there are a lot of signs and audio announcements in public places in Spanish. I find it interesting to compare the way the two languges relate the same concepts. Small wonders to liven the day.

Any thoughts?
