As I recount on the page, a LOOOONG drive there, then discover that the three gigs are two hours drive away and outdoors – it’s cold and on the last gig it rains and the door falls off Flavinho’s Citroen when we get back to the house….. all in all we had a fabulous time!!!
Emilio who owned who owned the agriturismo where we stayed and organised the gigs couldn’t have done more for us- never-ending supply of food and drink. Flavinho was just as I remembered him- full of Brazilian enthusiasm! Also met Zam Moustapha Dembele from Mali and Ismaila Mbaye from Senegal. I’d never played African rhythms before – it was wonderful! They were all lovely guys and wonderful percussionists! I hope one day we’ll play together again. Thank you my friends!
Just glancing at Advanced Photoshop magazine. Out of 54 issues, 39 feature female images. One features a moose, and there are no images of males. So what does that tell us about it’s readership, I wonder . . . . .
Expecting it to be a little warmer in Calabria, we took a slightly lighter ‘wardrobe’ than is customary in a Umbria December. Unfortunately I didn’t know that we were playing outdoors! So the debut of Mr ‘Michelin Man’ Jones.
Xmas is always like this…. Too much to eat . . . .
Natale e sempre cosi . . . .ho mangiato troppo . . .
The Windmill in Parbold. Great beer, excellent beer and a roaring fire!! Should have read great beer, excellent food . . but it does underline my first priority!
Yes the festive season is with us. Why do I say this?
The street decorations are already up!
The shops are full of seasonal stuff?
Nope it’s because snow has arrived on WordPress!
