I have to admit I cheated slightly here by scanning the page in grey scale.

For those of you interested, the shots were taken on a Panasonic DMC-LX3.

This NOT a film vs. digital post -it’s simply an observation on technological change- which in this case is startling in terms of capability.


Black and White

I’m no Luddite: I don’t care if an image is digital or film: people often forget that the people we now consider as ‘old masters’, such as, Cartier-Bresson, and the National Steel guitar blues players of the 1920’s were ground breaking!! I still believe that a B&W image has an historically based authenticity.

So here’s my first efforts in a new B&W albeit taken digitally!
