Irons ?

I’ve seen these somewhere before  . .but I’m just not quite sure what they are for….

The truth is that I don’t iron anymore: but I don’t expect anybody else to iron for me either. . . . . I just choose the clothes I buy very carefully . . .

Day out in Rome . .

I have  the weekend off . . no treatment. So a day out in Rome in beautiful weather. Noticed this sign at the station.

The Ars Pacis museum looked beautiful in strong winter sunshine. Apparently it’s still the cause of much debate in Rome: love it vs hate it . . .

We were early getting to Termini: so we slumped into a bar for a coffee. This was Lesley’s shot of the ceiling. I like it . . the print is bit too green but that’s my fault . . too lazy to change the ink cartridge . . . .

Builders . . . . pah!

I have been recently raging about the John Legend song (remake) where we here a plea to builders. p-lease! If we have to wait for the builders to ‘build a new land’ as the 70’s hippy philosophy of the song puts it, what would happen?

It would be delivered well past the deadline-if at all, cost three times the estimate, and not be what we asked for in the first place!!

Corkscrew . . .

My journals have always been sprinkled (liberally . . .) with images of wine bottles, glasses, beer bottles and the like. At the moment, I am on an alcohol free diet . .  so I’m left with images like this, and a (reasonably large) number of different beers and this years’  ‘novello’ to drink when this period is over. . . roll on December

How everyday can you get……

You see people think that because you live in a beautiful country and wonderful works of art, etc, that you will automatically gravitate to drawing these things. I don’t. Danny Gregory is concerned with Everyday Matters; I’m the same. I just happened to see this ashtray when I was having a cup of coffee and decided to draw it. Why not?
