Observations

A while ago I mentioned Alan Fletcher and his observations-, and an idea that I’ve been  developing. It involves writing and over-writing, in my case on a grey base – it’s visual  word association though in some instances there is some sort of significance to the final image – the darkness of the one entitled Despair and the more light-hearted notion of the six strings in Guitar. Let me know what you think.

the wonderful mind of Alan Fletcher

If you’re interested in the creative process and you have never come across Alan Fletcher, you don’t know what you’re missing: his magnum opus The Art of Looking Sideways is marvellous. This concept is from a less ambitious work called ‘Painting and Poeting’ ithe title coming from quote of Kurt Schwitters- though Fletcher himself thinks this is unlikely . . .

MATEJ KREN

Found a lovely gallery in Bratislava: and in it there was this piece: brilliant idea, well executed. Every can is a ‘work of literature’ Proust, Jorge Luis Borges, Rimbaud, Machiavelli, Oscar Wilde, Kafka…………..
